Description
The CAS2 is a time-efficient intelligence test that goes beyond general ability by measuring PASS processes. These and other scores help to explain WHY a student fails and builds on neurocognitive strengths to increase academic success. This webinar will discuss how the CAS2 can be used within the new report format and will develop assessors’ understanding of how the test scores can inform diagnosis as well as educational decision making
In the 2025 Patoss annual conference, Jack Naglieri and Tulio Otero outlined PASS theory, explaining how it differs from traditional measures of intelligence derived from early 1900s work by Binet, Terman, and the Army Alpha and Beta tests.
In this webinar, Jack and Tulio are joined by Armande Fryatt to explore how the CAS2 can be used within the new diagnostic report format for assessing dyslexia/ SpLD.
Armande will provide an overview of how assessors can use the test within the new format, while Jack and Tulio will discuss how the interpretability of the four PASS scales (Planning, Attention, Simultaneous, and Successive) has significant implications not just for diagnosis, but for understanding the relationship between these neurocognitive processes and academic success and struggles, as well as academic instruction and interventions.
